Nanjing's IKEA (Originally posted Sep. 05, 2010)

China's economy is one of--if not the--fastest growing in the world, despite the fact that 7/10 people still live in rural areas. But for that 30% with an expendable paycheck, surely they would be able to appreciate a sconce or folding end table, would they not?

Let's take a journey.

I only bought a pillow. It was a true challenge to not buy every single fish bowl-shaped lamp I saw. You can't tell from the pictures, really, but the store was super crowded. It took us a bit of time to get out of the line, but this is one of the few places in Nanjing that accepts credit/debit cards, so it was totally worth it.
